Paolo - Owner and Manager

Paolo, an eccentric Italian man has lived in Sukhothai for 12 years now. Not on his original agenda or Thailand plans, he found himself in this historic city by fate, only to meet his local Thai wife and later to settle down and build Orchid Hibiscus.

Paolo and his wife have an eye for detail and a focus on maintaining Orchid Hibiscus as if it were only a day old. This husband and wife team ensure that an enjoyable stay is had with quality, leisure and beauty.

Traveller Comments:
"The hotel was pretty nice but there was nobody to make the check in and nobody to make the check out. no one spoke encglish and we couldn't even take our breakfast because we had to leave before the specified time for the breakfast and the hotel did not offer us the possibility of taking it with us when leaving. we had a bad impression about the service received. at least the room was clean.

Mrs. Ivet Segura G. - Spain and Canary Islands on 23/08/2010
"well located guesthouse, close to the historical park.
beautiful garden and nice pool.
the small houses are looking nice

but the comfort of the 4 persons family house is not good : water pressure is bad and the big problem are the toilets, it is not possible to flush toilet paper out and we were asked to put our used toilet paper in the bin. you can imagine that after a night with 4 pers. it is really not hygienic and the smell very disturbing, we did not enjoy the bathroom at all with the view on the dirty toiletpapers bin.

room decoration/furniture : very basic, clearly furnitures are old and ecclectic, the door is not in glass so when the door is closed it is very dark in the room even by day.
bed : too hard

breakfast : it is a pity it is not a buffet

welcome : Paolo is very sympathic and give good advises"
Mrs. Pascale M. - France on 07/08/2010
"Charming and cozy atmosphere, perfect location for the Sukhothai Historical site, friendly staff, refreshing swimming pool and abundant breakfast.
If anything, the room was a bit too small but the nice individual terrace space and the comfy bed compensated for it"
Ms. Maruxa Diaz Cardama G. - Spain and Canary Islands on 15/04/2010
"Very nice place, quiet and clean...
You can enjoy swimming in the swimming pool gladden by birds.
10 min walking by old teples and main shops and rental.
What else?"
Mr. Francesco M. - Italy on 25/03/2010
"VERY GOOD HOTEL IN A VERY NICE GARDEN WITH PRIVATE SWIMMING POOL FOR BUNGALOW; CLOTH TO THE HISTORICAL PARK."
Ms. VALERIE L. - France on 13/03/2010
"A bit old and "tired" accomodation; door handle came off when opening the door, plastic seating of the toilet broken in 2, matrasses hard like stone...
But very nice environment which made it all up."
Mr. Bertrand P. - France on 28/02/2010
"Beautiful Guest House, we had a wonderful time.
Good advices and a wonderful swimming pool.
Only the beds were for elderly people not so comfortable, a little hard."
Mr. willem van der K. - Netherlands on 21/02/2010
